GUIDELINES FOR FREE PAPERS

 

BEST PAPERS TO TNOA JOURNAL FIRST

All the SELECTED BEST PAPERS from each session should be submitted to editor, TNOA Journal first for possible publication. The authors cannot submit the selected BEST PAPERS to any other journal unless it has been rejected by TNOA Journal after the peer review process. The final decision about the article by the “Editor-TNOA” will be taken within 6 months after the submission. If the authors have already submitted it elsewhere for consideration for publication, they must declare the same. The paper can be presented but will not be considered for “Best paper of the session award.”

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS / PRESENTERS OF FREE PAPERS

TNOA Scientific Committee has developed a checklist for abstract preparation with the objective of assisting prospective programme participants in preparing the best possible abstract for submission. All abstracts are considered equally for acceptance and the quality of the abstract is the single most important factor in the committee’s decision. Please follow the checklist to assist you.

TNOA Prof. C.P. Gupta Best Paper Award:

• Only members of TNOA are eligible to participate.
• He/she (the presenting author) should have enrolled as a Life Member of the TNOA on (or) before 31st May 2017.
• He/she (the presenting author) should not have completed 40 years of age before 31st May 2017.
• Acceptance of the paper and the rights to present in the conference will be confirmed subject to verification of proof of age and membership
• All abstract submissions should be made online only.
• Entries in duplicate should reach Chairman, Scientific committee and Secretary TNOA on or before 31 May 2017. (Online abstract submission link / password to be shared between TNOA office & scientific committee)
• Last date for abstract Submission: May 31, 2017.
• A declaration that this paper has not been presented in any conference earlier in any form ( as a paper/ poster/ video ) or published in any journal should be given by the participant.
• Violation of the above rule , if proved will attract disqualification of the entry.
• The paper may be the work of either one or a group of persons. If it is that of a group, the first (chief presenting author) should be below 40 years & should be a life member of the TNOA.
• The same person may be considered for the award in the subsequent years too even if he / she has won the award earlier, provided a different paper is presented subsequently.
• The time allotted is 8 minutes.
• The Judges shall be
  • The President of TNOA or his / her Nominee.
  • The Immediate Past President of his / her Nominee.
  • One representative from Endowment or nominee managing committee of TNOA.

TNOA TOPS Award for the Best Free Paper in Retina & TNOA Dr. MN Award for the Best Free Paper in Cataract Session:

• Only Members of TNOA are eligible to participate.
• He / She should have enrolled as a Life Member of the TNOA on or before 31st May 2017.
• Proof of Membership of TNOA should be sent along with the abstract and text of the paper entered for the competition.
• A declaration that this paper has not been presented in any conference earlier in any form ( As a paper/ poster/ video ) should be given by the participant.
• Violation of the above rule, if proved will attract disqualification of the entry.
• The paper may be the work of either one or a group of persons.
• The same person may be considered for the award in the subsequent years too even if he / she has won the award earlier, provided a different paper is presented subsequently.
• The time allotted is 6 minutes.
